Michael Jordan Dominick's Lawsuit

Back in 2009, Dominick's ran an ad that has since been a peneding civil court case that will end tomorrow whether the now defunct chain will plead guilty for infringment of Jordans 23 logo or not. What MJ might get can't be anything more that the trouble he has gone through, what can he win, a box of perferred cards?

"Jordan sued the grocery chain after it invoked his name and persona without permission in a 2009 magazine ad. It congratulated him on his Hall of Fame induction and offered a $2-off coupon."

This does seem wrong, but after tomorrow, we will see if the Chicago chain really wronged the Chicago basketball star?

Throwback Thursday: Omni to Dominick's in Round Lake Beach, Illinois

A picture I put together in December 2013 as the chain was ready to say farewell to Chicago, the Omni Superstore in Round Lake Beach, Illinois in the lower left hand corner and the Dominick's sign replacing the Omni sign in 1997 and an Omni cart out front.

How This Blog is Like a Bad Court Case

Uusally when an incident with messy details makes its way to the U.S. Supreme Court, it takes a long time to work out, whether that be a murder, bankruptcy, accident, robbery, all the pieces of the puzzle have to come together, but eventually the case it solved, and the story is released to the public. That is a very simular way this blog is operating, all the evidence of the stores, and what I have collected over the years, almost two years after the stores have closed, I now am starting to release my photographs, and information to the public now to learn what I have known already.

Thanks.
